In March I set out on an acoustic spring
concert tour - by bicycle. During my 110 day
tour, I will pedal some 3,200 miles,
performing at environmental festivals, radio
stations, clubs, coffee houses, and other
venues in over 26 cities.  In many of the
locations, I will hold community bike drives
for organizations that accept bike donations
and release them back into the community at
low costs. They also have "earn-a-bike"
programs for those who cannot afford a bike.
One dollar of each CD sold in every city will go
to sustaining their bike program.  In the places
without such help, I am committed to getting
similar programs in motion.
I am going to show people how involvement in
their own city can bring about
physical and environmental change. I am not a
professional athlete, but I believe that every
person's efforts count.  I realize that my
position as a musician gives me leverage to
reach out to people in an alternative way. I feel
my responsibility to act on what makes sense
to me intuitively; riding my bike and making
music.
